When the length is an issue – Try Extra Long Beds
Queen beds, full, and King are all terms we are accustomed. What are the dimensions standards used in the bedding industry and are generally more available. For most people queen and king size beds tend to be the most formats popular not because of the width of the beds, but because of the length. Queen and king size mattresses are 80 inches long or 6 feet 8 inches long. This works very well for many homes but what about the individual who can not fit a queen or king in space. Twin and full sizes are less broad, but not long enough for tall people who enjoy the length of the queen and king mattresses. Is there another possibility? There in the way of extra-long beds.
Extra beds exist simply to take a standard size as a twin or full and making it more for older children. This used to be a size custom in the industry, but many manufacturers are beginning to offer bed frame and mattress in the standard bed sizes XL to the delight of those who needed something as long as a queen, but the width of a double or full size. These formats are most often called xl twin, Twin XL or extra long twin and full sizes or bed time.
Standard size twin mattress measures 39 inches by 75 inches long. When looking a twin extra long mattress it measures 39 inches by 80 inches long. Mattress standard size is 54 inches by 75 inches long. Full size mattress extra long Must measure 54 inches by 80 inches long. Five inches long May did not seem familiar to many of us, but it's a big difference to someone who is 6 feet tall compared to someone who is 6 feet 6 inches tall.
Also XL and Twin bed frames and mattresses Twin XL size is another which provides additional length above and beyond 80 inches. California King is considered a different size extra long and varies somewhat from its counterpart King Standard. Where to regular king mattress measuring approximately 76 inches by 80 inches long. More often than not these sizes are done using rails with most existing headboard. California king beds, however, often need a head Bed width different since the standard width between a king and a California king bed is shifted about 4 inches.
